About Us
Abundant Aging with Dignity Fund is a California nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of seniors through safe housing, compassionate care, and community support. We work alongside families, healthcare providers, hospitals, hospice agencies, and community organizations to help older adults transition into stable, supportive living environments.
Our organization strives to remove barriers that often prevent seniors from receiving the care they deserve. Through charitable assistance, partnerships, and advocacy, we help connect individuals with housing, healthcare resources, transportation, personal care assistance, and social engagement opportunities.
Our long-term vision extends beyond providing housing. We are building a community where older adults can thrive through wellness programs, educational opportunities, recreational activities, volunteer engagement, and compassionate end-of-life support. We believe that aging should be celebrated, and every senior should be treated with respect, kindness, and dignity.
Together with our community partners and supporters, we are creating brighter futures for seniors throughout Merced County and the surrounding communities.
Mission Statement
Abundant Aging with Dignity Fund is committed to ensuring that every senior has the opportunity to age with dignity, safety, compassion, and purpose. Our mission is to provide access to quality housing, supportive services, advocacy, and community resources that promote independence, health, and an enhanced quality of life for older adults, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We believe every senior deserves a place to call home, respectful care, meaningful relationships, and the opportunity to live each day with comfort, security, and dignity.
Past Activities & Origins

Our Foundation
Before the formal establishment of the nonprofit, the organization’s founders were already active in the local community—helping elderly individuals who lacked financial resources obtain essential daily necessities such as food, personal hygiene items, and transportation to medical appointments.
The founders worked alongside residential care homes to help seniors access safe living environments.
In end-of-life situations, they assisted families by coordinating hospice services, arranging comfortable environments, and providing emotional and logistical support.
These experiences revealed a clear and pressing need for structured charitable support for vulnerable seniors. This led to the formal establishment of the nonprofit, allowing these services to be expanded in a sustainable and transparent way.

The Abundant Oasis
The expansive, open backyard space shown here serves as the foundation for The Abundant Oasis a thoughtfully designed, dementia-informed sanctuary dedicated to enhancing the dignity, safety, and well-being of seniors. With its natural landscape, open layout, and tree-lined boundaries, this space will be transformed into a therapeutic environment featuring accessible, slip-resistant walking paths, vibrant sensory gardens, shaded reflection areas, a community gathering lawn, and the signature Memory Hall a nostalgic, 1950s–60s-inspired activity pavilion. Looking Ahead
Planned Activities & Future Programs
To meet the growing needs of seniors in underserved communities, the organization plans to expand its programs in the following key areas:
1. Emergency Senior Assistance Program
A dedicated fund to assist seniors facing sudden financial hardship, including eviction risk, loss of housing, inability to pay for essential medications, or lack of access to care services. Assistance will be provided based on documented need and eligibility criteria.
2. Senior Residential Care Support Program
A collaboration with residential care homes to help subsidize care for seniors who cannot afford placement but require assistance with daily living activities. This program will prioritize low-income seniors at risk of homelessness or unsafe living conditions.
3. Hospice Comfort & Dignity Program
Support for individuals receiving hospice care by providing comfort items, family support resources, and assistance with end-of-life needs not fully covered by insurance. Our goal is to ensure seniors experience peace, comfort, and dignity during the final stages of life.
4. Community Events & Fundraising
Fundraising and awareness events will support charitable programs and educate the public about the needs of aging populations. Funds raised will be used to expand assistance programs and increase the number of seniors served.
